As a soon to be first-time home owner, this whole home buying thing is pretty stressfull. It’s not enough that home prices here in California are so crazy and that it’s so hard to find a house that you like (and can afford). Once you finally find something decent and you’re lucky enough to be the chosen buyer, the real stress begins.

We started escrow last week and I’ve pretty much been a nervous wreck. It’s all I think about. Will the loan go through? Will we get a proper appraisal? How many times do I have to sign my name on a piece of paper? Well, we got the loan approval today and we are supposed to get the appraisal in tomorrow and everything looks in order. Maybe I’m over reacting on the stress thing, but I feel so much pressure to get the deal done. I think what I’m feeling is that if it falls through, we would have wasted so much time, effort and money in the whole process. It happens, I guess, but hopefully, not to us.
