Escrow seems to be going smoothly. We have been approved for our loan, appraisal has come in at the target price and everything else is set. All we have to do now is wait two more months. It will be hard staying in the apartment for another two months knowing that we will be in the new house on Sept. 1. But I have to say, it’s way better than not having something to look forward too. It’s almost like waiting for Christmas Eve.
At least we will be a little busy with the baby coming any day now. Hopefully by September, we will have gotten used to the baby and moving will be a little less difficult with a six week old baby than with one fresh out of the oven.
Since we are now officially broke, we will not be doing much to the house after moving in. Just some paint here and there, a new couch and a washer/dryer. We thought about doing more, such as new floors and/or kitchen, but reality set in. We will pretty much be on empty after moving in. But hopefully, we can have a house-warming BBQ in October and have everyone over in our almost-empty house.
