Time is definitely flying by as Lucas is approaching the one-month mark. It feels like it was just yesterday when he first came home barely filling out his car seat. It�s pretty amazing how we are already beginning to recognize his unique personality traits. It�s something that is difficult to put into words, but I feel like there is this little boy that we know locked up inside wanting to jump out and scream �Hey, Mom and Dad!� Instead, each personality trait is slowly coming out, a new one revealed each day. I’m only three and a half weeks old and I already have more hair that my dad.
Burping. If you don’t do it, there will be spit up everywhere. On your shoulder, on your chest, in his crib, on your bed, etc. I’ve been told that gas issues are the most uncomfortable problems for babies. If they have air in their stomach, they get all wacky. They’ll cry and, of course, they won’t sleep. When Lucas doesn’t burp enough, you can tell by his little baby grunts. It’s almost as if he’s going to through up, he heaves like crazy. When you hear the grunts, put him on your shoulder, pat him on the back and boom, baby belch. Right back to sleep. There is more! Click to continue reading »
