Last Saturday, we attended a friend’s wedding and for the first time in 5 weeks, Tey was not with Lucas. We were out and about for about six hours and, understandably, Tey was having some separation issues. She called my mom, who was taking care of him, about 4 times. After each phone call, she would feel a little better knowing that he was ok. Having Lucas and staying at home with him for the last six weeks has brought out the motherly instincts in Tey that I have never seen before. We stayed until after the dinner and left to go home. When we arrived, Lucas was sleeping peacefully and Tey instantly felt better. She says that she has always been “motherly” especially when she was taking care of her little brother, Brian.
