I’ll be on the road for the next 5 days attending SXSW in Austin, Texas. It will be the longest time I will be away from Lucas and I’m a little bummed out about it. I’ve gotten used to our morning routine the last month or so.

Our Morning Routine

1. We both wake up around 6:45am. (Momma’s already gone to work)
2. We will play for a little bit in his room. I’ll give him random things to twirl in his hands.
3. Then we change his morning diaper (usually pretty heavy)
4. I place him in his crib while I get dressed.
5. When we are both ready, we head downstairs, say “Hi” to Koda
6. I prepare his morning bottle (either 6 or 7 oz.)
7. Lucas drinks on my lap while I watch the previous night’s SportsCenter on Tivo
8. We feed Koda (Lucas helps me count the scoops)
9. Get ready and go to Grandma’s

For the next 5 mornings, I will think of my little dude and our special mornings.
