In the Philippines, Lucas is sad. He has cried as much as I’ve ever seen him. It’s probably everything around him. The strange place and the strange faces. The only thing that comforts him is his mom. I wish he could talk because he would probably tell me that he misses his house, his room, his toys, his Grandma, his dog and his routine.

I feel bad for him, but he does have his moments of laughter, mostly with us. But I think that after his first two days, he is adjusting a little. I think he’ll be fine, but it’s rough hearing him cry so much. At Dad’s house, he won’t go to anyone without crying. And in the event that he adjusts to being in someone else’s arms without crying, the mere sight of his mom or me brings out the tears and the screams. We’ll see. Hopefully he’ll be the good boy that he is and be ok with everything.

Other than that, it’s hot and humid. Two showers a day does not cut it. Nothin makes me feel more helpless than being lost in Manila. Jeeeez, that’s a shitty feeling. But somehow, we managed to get places. We went to supposedly the third largest mall in the world. The Mall of Asia. It was alright, too big to get everywhere. The food is great, as usual. And I realized that I need to brush up on my tagalog. I hate having to think of exactly what to say before saying it. Another shitty feeling. But overall, the trip is good. Seeing all these relatives makes a very worth while trip. Hopefully more fun for Lucas to come.
