Amazingly enough, I am writing this blog post from the Philippines! Wow, that was weird to write. But on Thursday morning, I heard that my grandma (Dad’s mom) was seriously ill in the hospital and that it didn’t look good. I spoke with my mom and my aunt in LA (Tita Wena) and decided that if I was able to go be with the famiy then I would. Luckily enough, we did not have a gig this weekend and Tita Wena was able to book a flight for me. I was on a flight to Manila leaving at 10pm that same Thursday. Talk about a whirlwind.
Well, my grandma (Mama) passed away the same Thursday and I am now here to attend the wake, the funeral and just be with the family. It’s been a pretty heavy two days. My grandpa (Papa) is doing his best. Everyone seems to be in good spirits as we are trying to celebrate her life and honor her by being with one another.
It’s gonna be a fast trip for me (5 actual days here) as I’m set to get back on Wednesday, July 4th right in time to shoot a wedding in San Jose on Saturday (7/7/07). So, I’ll be in and out of touch for a few more days. Please contact Tey for any photography related questions or concerns (Cell: 714-785-8300 or Email: tey@jangarcia.com).
Sorry for the heavy topic, but I just felt like I had to share this. I’ll probably be able to make another post before I go…
This is Mama, Trinidad Garcia. We love you.

Sorry to hear about your loss. Atleast you were able to make it to the Philippines, and that your family are handling the situation well.
