On Sunday, I joined Mindy and Gary along with their families as they hosted a traditional Vietnamese engagement ceremony. For those not familiar with this type of ceremony, here is a good write up on it. We did something very similar for our traditional Chinese wedding ceremony at Tey’s family’s house, but I don’t want to butcher the explanation, so I will leave it up to Wikipedia to do that! It was quite the celebration and feast…thanks for the awesome food! Mindy and Gary will be getting married in January 2008.

I just found a cool website/blog that posts some famous photos from around the world, along with some background information and, of course, photographer credit. Yes, I am a proud papa. And, Yes, I brag about Lucas because he is my little boy. But, can someone please call a modelling agency?!?!! HAHAHAAH LOL! Sorry, I just had to write that! I got this “working it” shot of Lucas while attending Mark and Kamryn’s wedding this past Saturday. (I’ll post more wedding photos tomorrow) Here is Lucas looking ultra cool while laying down on the seat of a golf cart…funny thing is this was taken while his Mama was changing his diaper!!! Anyway, do most people think that their own kids are the cutest or is it just me? :)

May Grey turned into June Gloom, but that’s ok with me since it’s allowed us to shoot most of the day and still get some really soft light. We met up with Camila and Richie last Friday in Laguna Beach where we got some super cool stuff with that soft light. The tide was a little high, but we managed to get through the session relatively dry. Although there was this giant wave that almost took them out when we were crossing some rocks. It was pretty funny…probably not for them though :) They are getting married on the oh so popular day of 7/7/07 and we are excited to go up north to the San Jose area for their wedding and take in some sights, as well. Some of my favs:
