Some Fun on the 101

For our wedding up in the Bay Area last week, we stayed in downtown San Francisco with Tey’s Aunt Chloe. Too bad the trip was so short and we were busy with work because we would’ve had a chance to have more fun in the city. There are so many things that I’ve yet to see there, like the de Young Museum and AT&T Park. So, we’re planning a return trip in the fall.

Originally, I wanted to drive and take in some sights on the coast. But of course, time became a factor and, on the way up, we took the flat, boring but fast Hwy 5. But on the way home, I convinced Tey to sacrifice a few hours to take in some sights on the more scenic Hwy 101 closer to the coast. The first one is Chloe’s flat in the city and the rest are us just messing around on a few stops along the 101.

Camila + Richie’s Wedding

The big date of 07/07/07 has come and passed. We spent the weekend up north in the Bay Area to shoot Camila and Richie’s wedding. We always have a great time going up north and sure enough, it was a great trip and a great wedding. The ceremony took place at the beautiful Valley Presbyterian Church in Portola Valley. So much lush greenery everywhere, it was just a treat to shoot everything around. Richie and Camila looked great on their big day and so did the rest of the gang. Thanks to LaQueanya Henry and her awesome staff. We had a blast hanging out and joking around. Here are some of my favs from the big day:

Didn’t Really Want It…

Since I’ve been out of town for the last week, I didn’t get a chance to get caught up in all this iPhone hype. I heard about the madness at the Apple and AT&T stores, but just observed from about 9000 miles away. While in the Philippines, I read all the reviews that I could find and was still pretty skeptical about it. It doesn’t have 3G, it doesn’t copy and paste, it doesn’t BCC, it doesn’t use bluetooth to transfer files, it doesn’t take video clips, it doesn’t do this and that, blah, blah, blah. I thought to myself that I would wait and see. Maybe I would get the next version after they fix the bugs. But in my first day back, I just had to stop by the Apple store and play with the little bad boy.

I picked it up, played with it for about 2 minutes. Then I turned to the sales guy next to me and said “If you got’em, I’ll take one!” Pretty crazy! I was just blown away by this little thing. So, I didn’t really want it, but I was just so unbelievably impressed that I let temptation get the best of me. Good thing that I’m already w/ AT&T and that my old Nokia was in need of a replacement. That made it a lot easier. I encourage all of you to go play with one, even if you don’t plan on buying one. Just to see what the fuss is all about. At the least, you can see what all phone manufacturers will be striving to achieve for the next few years. Pretty funny, I took a pic of me holding it with a big grin on my face using my old Nokia phone and emailed it to Tey. She got a kick out of it.

Anyway, that’s my iPhone story…

Julie + Tony

I’m still out of town…this is auto posted from last week. -jan

Tey and I met up with Julie and Tony in Palos Verdes for their engagement session on Wednesday. I thought it was gonna be a little chilly but it ended up being a beautiful SoCal summer evening at the beach. They felt a little weird in front of the camera at first, but they quickly warmed up. They looked beautiful together…something about their look makes me think of something peaceful and serene. Thanks to Tony who sacrificed his pants early in the shoot. He sat on some “stuff” and we felt sooooo bad. Thanks for being great sports! I love all our clients…you guys are always down to be daring! :) Here’s the good stuff:
