That's great to hear Dave! I had that problem too...easy fix, though! In you iPhone, go to Settings > Mail > "Account Name" > Advanced Settings. Under Mailbox Behaviors, make sure you have the correct folders selected that are on the server and not on the iPhone. Also, make sure your Mail is set up like it says here . That made all the difference for me.

Thanks again for the write up on using IMAP! I got it all setup last night and it is awesome, but had a question. When I send an email from my iPhone, it does not show up in the Sent folder on the iPhone or on my Mac. But if I send an email from my Mac it shows up in the Sent folder on both my Mac and iPhone. Any ideas?

Thanks!
Dave

Hey Dave, Thanks! No luck. We are not allowed to create folders on the iPhone, but as long as you create folders in Mail or directly on the server (via Webmail) it'll show up in the iPhone.

That is so helpful of you to post Jan! I literally just figured all this IMAP stuff out last week and it's been an absolute Godsend! I'm sure everyone who didn't know how it works will benefit a ton from this!!
