Just wanted to add some fun info here on the blog and decided to do some personal Q&A. Yeah, I know, other people do the same thing, but it’s still fun and I think these questions, although obscure and seemingly insignificant, can reveal a lot about you. So go check out the new “Who Are We” page on the blog.

I know it’s not Lucas Friday yet, but I had to post this. I found a new model yesterday. He helped me with a few test shots and I think he’s got it down. I said “Give me your moody stare” and he gave me this…what a natural!!!

We joined Nicole and Chris this past Saturday for their wedding at The Belamar in Manhattan Beach, CA. It’s been a while since we met up with them for their engagment session and it was really cool to see the fruits of all their planning. They did most of everything themselves with the help of their parents and it’s always neat to see the personal touch in everything. The Belamar is a cool little hotel with a really unique style…kind of a retro-modern look but with organic materials. Am I stretching?! :) But, I was digging it. As you will see below, they have an adorable 2-year old girl, Sierra. Totally reminds me of Lucas and it was fun following her around. The happy couple is now in Jamaica, soaking up the sun! Congratulations you two!

One of my favorite shots…

And…one to end the night.

Just made it for Lucas Friday! Yes, this is the same outfit Lucas has worn to two other formal events! It still fits but is now retired for good. This crazy snarling pose was during Tey’s uncle’s wedding last Saturday. Have a great weekend everyone!!!

Last Saturday, Rebecca and Mike were married on the rooftop of Hotel La Casa del Camino. It was such a GORGEOUS day in Laguna Beach, CA and it was a complete change from the heat wave just one week ago. It was a great intimate wedding with very close family and friends, most coming in from out of town. Rebecca and Mike were just awesome to work with…so easy going and cool. PLUS…they have awesome taste in music!! They had a great eclectic mix playing all night including Prince, The Shins, Fleetwood Mac, Bob Marley and more! Tey was attending a family wedding with Lucas. So thanks to my buddy Regis, who was able to step in and shoot with me. Rebecca and Mike are now soaking up the sun in Belize. Congratulations! Some highlights:
Getting ready area.

The Rings.

Mike is a big Michigan Wolverine fan. There’s always time to sneak in some college football on the flat screen.

Happy Mike.

Happy Rebecca.

Went vertical to get the sun in the shot.

Bouquet held by Rebecca’s mom.

Mike’s mom and dad.

Cocktail hour in the lobby.

Time to greet the guests…check out the view!

We snuck out for a few shots. There was this great little courtyard in the middle of the hotel.

Sitting and standing.

Some alone time in the hallways.

Big smiles all around.

Some cool details on the rooftop.

Talk about making a guy feel special. We had a our own place cards and YUMMY dinner :)

10 sec. exposure right in front of the hotel. It was a clear and gorgeous evening.
