Rebecca + Mike

Rebecca and Mike flew down from Portland to get married in Laguna Beach, CA. So on the eve of their wedding day, we escaped to take some casual shots around town in Laguna. It was a treat to finally meet them as we’ve only corresponded over the phone and via email. They are so cool and easygoing and…a match.com success story! They have awesome “straight” looks as I like to call it. Of course, I love those! Their wedding (the very next day!) was so cool, so stay tuned for those…

Kimberly + Jeff

I’ve been to Old Towne Orange a dozen times and knew that it would be an awesome place for an engagement session. I just haven’t had the chance to do so…until now. Kimberly and Jeff left it up to me to choose a place for their session (which is soooo cool of them!) and I knew exactly where to do it! Kimberly is a wedding coordinator for Kelly Michelle Weddings, so there was no pressure at all! ;) But it was a blast. You can never have too much fun at these sessions and they were just laughing and messing around the whole time…made it easy for me! And for me, Old Towne Orange was a shooter’s paradise. So many different colors and backdrops. Hope we can do more shoots there. Some favs:

Labor Day Weekend Diary

The heat wave in Southern California was almost unbearable. It was reaching triple digits in OC and everyone was trying to stay cool any way that they could. Global warming here we come!! Mind you that we are not used to these crazy temperatures. I’m fine with Sunny and 70 :) So, this is leading up to a few stories.

Story #1

Lucas got his fourth haircut ever. He’s still a cutie but sooo different. His ears look like they stick out so much. HAHAHA. But now, he doesn’t have a mop top that acts like a sweat sponge. His head is probably ten degrees cooler now!

Story #2

We finally got around to putting plants in the backyard. Well, not exactly “we”. My mom is the planting master and she coordinated the whole thing with some of her gardeners. So we just watched from the air conditioned kitchen! We’re evil, I know!! So mom got sunburned and the plants look great. BBQ anyone?

Story #3

I shot a wedding on Sunday with Natalie Moser in Newport Beach, CA and it was STILL H.O.T.!!! I felt so bad for all the groomsmen in their black tuxedos. But the ceremony wasn’t too long and everyone rushed into the shade followed by a big party inside. I’ve never been so close to the beach and still be so hot!

Story #4

Labor Day BBQ at Mark’s house in Temple City. Talk about HOT, I think that was the worst day. Oh man! Thanks to Mark for taking one for the team and cooking us all some awesome mini-burgers out in “almost Hell”. But it was still fun hanging out, eating, playing Wii, Cranium, Taboo. But we got suckered into playing The Newlywed Game (board game). So lame!
