We are out!

We are taking a short little family vacation to New York, NY, the big city of dreams. We’ll be taking in the sights and visiting my aunt, Didi, who lives in Manhattan. So, we’ll be gone until Sunday night. Go ahead and send those emails…I’ll be responding every so often. Hopefully, I’ll get to post some daily pics on the blog.

Show: The Booth, Kimberly + Jeff

So here’s the premiere of The Booth. We set up everything using 3 strobes (I wish I had a fourth!) and a 9 ft. white paper backdrop. Mix in some fun guests, a few sips of the bubbly and you come out with pretty fun stuff! Tey and I took turns shooting as we were still capturing some other reception activities at the time. This is something that we’d love to offer future couples, so if you’re interested, just let us know! All you need is some room for the set up and everyone will have a blast. Thanks to Kim and Jeff for the suggestion and to all their family and friends!

So, here we go! Press the tiny play button on the bottom left below.

Kimberly + Jeff at Park Privé

Kimberly and Jeff tied the knot on Friday. So many great details and great ideas. Probably because Kimberly is a wedding coordinator ;) But, it was a great day of fun for us all. They both looked hot in their non-traditional dress and suit. Park Privé is a hip little venue in Costa Mesa that I’m sure will be getting more and more popular. We had a great team from Kelly Meyer of Kelly Michelle Weddings running the show, Steve from Carcano DJ, who is so much FUN, and amazing florals were from Floral Creations by Enzo. Kelly coordinated our wedding back in 2003 and it was so awesome to reconnect with her!

Kim asked if we could do a photobooth setup and take shots of all the guests and it was awesome. I’d always wanted to do something like that and it was so much fun. I will be posting a slideshow of those shots…they defenitely deserve their own post. Here’s the goods:

Kim received a gift from Jeff. She was happy.

Lucas Friday #8

Here is a video taken by my Mom with Lucas. She uploaded it to YouTube via iMovie 7. She’s tech savvy like that! He’s soooo super active these days and is jumping around like a mad man! AND…he’s getting really good with his ABCs. Check it out! We have a double header this weekend so get ready for some good stuff…happy weekend!

Phan + Jenson’s Wedding

It was an event filled day for Phan and Jenson with two tea ceremonies and an outdoor wedding ceremony. We started the big day at Phan’s house on Saturday morning for one tea ceremony for her side of the family. Then we were off to the Universal City Hilton for the second tea ceremony (Jenson’s Family) followed by the outdoor ceremony. We found some cool, funky spots for portraits behind the hotel and I had a blast shooting the briday party…they were fun :) Check out some highlights:
