Shanel + David

I was a little early to our scheduled shoot. I looked up and saw the super dark rain clouds and knew that the forecast was right on the money…it’s gonna pour. But I’m thankful that the rain drops gave us about another hour before they decided to join us down here. Here are Shanel and David. So easy going and up for anything. Just like I like it! We got in some good camera time in the woods and on the beach. They are getting married this coming July at the Pala Mesa Resort which should be fantastic. I just love venues that are full of greenery. Can’t wait…thanks you two!

Family Friday #5

Let’s go photo first this time:

Who doesn’t like pictures of a sleeping baby?! Here is Mr. Big Cheeks taking a nap on the couch.

The other day, I came to a realization that 2008 is going to be so amazingly full of challenges and rewards. I guess you can start with the whole “having 2 kids” thing. That still boggles my mind as I type this. But, during the past few weeks, the main topic of discussion has been “Who will be taking care of the kids when we have work (shoots and weddings)?”. After exploring all the different options, we decided on getting a nanny for the kids. It’s going to cost a little more, but in the end, it’s the decision that we are most comfortable with. With 2008 being our busiest year ever, I’m already preparing for the crazy juggling act that is bound to happen. We are pushing hard to grow and expand the business, so we kinda asked for it. You’ll see how it all unfolds…here on the blog, of course :) Happy Friday!

Baby Adeline

Baby Adeline was such a cool little model. She had the stare down…and she had matching fabulous hair! Not sure if she was gawking at the camera or at me! But I did not have to tell her to “look at me”. Mommy (Liz) and daddy (Dae Gun) had some fun, too and we got some really fun shots. I love shooting in home environments. It makes the session so relaxed and I bet it’s cool to have family photos just having fun in their house. I need a personal photographer to follow me around! Here are a few samples of many, many cute shots:

One of my favs!

My other fav…love the hair!

Family Friday #4

Well, it’s been more of a chill week…just a lot of computer time finishing some albums and finalizing some office stuff. In baby news, Nathan is getting pretty big, now. He’s about 6 weeks old and the cheeks are filling in more and more…chipmunk style. Lucas started his first week of daycare, but got sick. So today, he’s resting with his Grandma. We’ll probably start his day care when we get back from our upcoming trip. That is all! Happy weekend!

CUTE ALERT! Chipmunk cheeks below

Here is the Bumbo seat, one of my favorite baby things ever! Of course, when Nathan sits in it, Lucas wants to do the same…crazy dude.

Mindy + Gary’s Wedding

Our first wedding of the year has come and gone and it was great to get the feet wet again. Mindy and Gary’s day was full of tradition and fun. The day started off with a traditional Vietnamese tea ceremony, followed by a catholic church ceremony and finished off with an perfectly planned bash to end the evening. I was so impressed with Mindy’s planning and execution for the reception. So many fun things planned and they all went off perfectly! From the red carpet entrance with the guest having their paparazzi photos taken, candid interviews being streamed directly to the projector (which was awesome!) to the “Deal or No Deal” game with real cash prizes…it was just a great night of fun. All 400 plus guests were so into it that it made it a pleasure for me to take it all in. Congratulations you two!!!

Mindy definitely doesn’t need much make up…a slight touch here/there and she was looking great.

Their priest was the big winner. He was randomly chosen and got 100 cash money and even snuck in some dirty jokes. Too funny.
