How weird is it to say that we finally got a good non-rainy day in Southern California?! Well, that day was Saturday and I was able to join Kimberly and Stephen for their engagement portraits. I really loved their attire that day and thought they looked great going from a semi-formal to a more casual look halfway through our session. After some initial jitters, they became naturals in front of the camera and I can’t wait for their wedding this coming August at Verandas in Manhattan Beach, CA. Here’s a quick peek of what we did…

So I played hooky last Thursday and took off to Mammoth with some friends (The 2 Tims, Tim T and Tim G). I haven’t gone snowboarding since 06 so it was quite the treat for me. Combine that with absolutely no crowds on a Thursday and I was in riding heaven. I don’t do any jumps or anything crazy anymore since I broke my arm on a jump in college, so I’m strictly a freerider now although I do hunt for the occasional powder within the trees. If you plan to experience Mammoth on a weekday, be careful…you will NEVER want to go on a weekend ever again!
Here’s our trip in under 60 seconds. Most of this is Tim T and some of me and Tim G. Click to play.

I just made it for FF#6!!! In my recovery from a one-day snowboarding trip to Mammoth, I completely forgot it was Friday. So here we go with some all important family news.
Nathan is now 8 weeks old! He went to his 2 month check up today and he weighs 12 lbs. CHUNKY MONKEY! So considering that he is 75th percentile and at the same age, Lucas was about 10th percentile, he shouldn’t have any problems gaining weight. He’s doing great and I think he’s gonna do fine on our upcoming trip to the Philippines.
Lucas is now entering his 3rd week in daycare and he is doing MUCH better. Besides the fact that he screams “I don’t wanna go to school!” over and over during our 5 minute drive to drop him off, he is improving. When we drop him off he says “I’m gonna play for a little bit and Mommy go to work for a little bit.” It’s cute. When Tey leaves he cries a little and says “Bye Mommy!”
Here is Lucas posing as my stand-in for our shoot today.
