Amanda + Colm

I’m a bit behind in posting, so I’m gonna try to catch up here.

I actually met Amanda and Colm for the first time last week for their engagement session. It really is an honor when clients hire us without meeting us first. I was happy to say that they were super nice and a treat to hang out with. They both flew down from San Francisco to do some planning and visit family and we squeezed in some photo time before they had to jet home. It was a glorious day in So Cal…as usual. They are getting married this coming August in San Diego. Check out some highlights below:

Woolim + Shiloah’s Wedding in The Philippines

What a great day this was! I was so glad to be able to attend and shoot this special wedding. I hadn’t seen my friend Woolim for a few years and it was just a joy to see him so happy. It was a beautiful setting near Tagaytay, just south of Manila. Hacienda Isabella was just breathtaking…a perfect blend of nature and gorgeous architecture/design. I can go on for a few paragraphs, but I’ll let the few photos below speak for the day.

We’ll start of with some details of the beautiful hacienda.

Shiloah with the veil on. That was the “oh wow, this is for real” moment.

Waiting to go down.

The long walk down the aisle. What a backdrop!

It was a touching ceremony with speeches, thank yous, crying, laughing, and all that good stuff.

One can get used to an awesome background like this one.

I love this one! Pure joy at it’s best.

Woolim, as I know him.

This one makes me smile.

Some reception details.

First dance in the sunset.

The best man, Jhoette. Another college buddy…it was great to see him there.

Special performance by Janoy, a local singer with an unreal voice. I need to get some of his songs.

Finally, my favorites…B+G time! Eyes.

The dress.

The sit down.

And the tug.

The end…Congratulations guys! It was awesome…thank you again for letting us be there with you!!

Our Night Out

What do you do when you have a chance to get out without the kids? Go to a photographer networking shindig, of course! We had a great time hanging out at Victor Sizemore’s last week and it was cool reconnecting with a bunch of peeps that we’ve either met, worked with or even just emailed. There was a TON of people there from all over So Cal and it was also very cool meeting a bunch of new people and I got to put some faces to familiar names. There was a Red Cheese photo booth set up in the living room and it was my first time in one…here’s us below.

Family Friday #8

With it being an election year, we can’t go on without some underage brain washing. My mom’s been training Lucas for 2008. It’s pretty funny.

Woolim + Shiloah: Engagement Session, Philippines Edition

Finally, I’m ready to go! Here is the lovely couple that brought us the Philippines. I went to college with Woolim and I was so happy to be there for him and Shiloah. Shiloah was great and I tried my best to get her “good side” :) Here’s a sample of our engagement session that we did a few weeks before their wedding. We were wandering around Morato Avenue in Quezon City which is known for their entertainment and night life. Some awesome wedding photos coming up soon!

Some background on this one. In many spots in the Philippines, there are areas that are marked “Bawal umihi dito” which is loosely translated to “Illegal to urinate here” ! Anyway, that’s what that wall said, so I had to set this up. BTW, nothing was flowing :)
