Family Friday #17

Last Sunday, we took the boys to the Wild Animal Park in San Diego. Tey and I had never been there before so it was nice to finally see the place. The main feature of the park is the tram that takes you around the open area to see many animals out in the open. It was pretty cool seeing a herd of young antelope race across an open field. Lucas loved it! It kinda makes me want to go on a real safari trip with the kiddos. I guess we have to put Africa on our “to go” list. But, of course, our most important visit was to the elephant exhibit. When saw the elephants, Lucas had a giant grin on his face and kept on saying “Elephant is my FAVORITE!” to everyone there. Crazy kid.

Here’s some pics from the day. We’re off to San Francisco to shoot a wedding. We’ll be back on Monday. Have a great weekend!

Our little punk…ready to go.

Me doing the daddy thing with the carrier.

Nathan in his workman jumpsuit!

It was cold on the tram…

They didn’t have any bears so we brought our own.

White Rhino…almost extinct. So sad.

Gorillas. That big dude was scary.

Egg time!

Little Monster…I guess it looks like an elephant.

Leilani and David : Homestead Museum, Diamond Bar Center Wedding Photography

It was a gorgeous day in SoCal. A little hot, but I’m thankful for indoor receptions! I remember meeting with Leilani and David last year and they were very passionate about their photography so I was honored that they chose us for their wedding. Their wedding was definitely a team effort from everyone! Their friends and family did most of everything from the amazing florals to setting up the whole reception. It was great to see it all come together. They were married at Kingdom Hall in La Puente. We then took photos at the Homestead Museum in nearby Industry which was such a great place to shoot…awesome light everywhere. Then their reception was at the Diamond Bar Center. Their awesome new building is so slick and contemporary. I was definitely digging the design. Congrats guys! Hope Tahiti was a blast!

I love hands.

The thinker!

One of my faves.

The tree-lined walkway at the Homestead Museum was pretty awesome.

I loved the back-lit cake. A bit different from the usual.

Outside the Diamond Bar Center is an amazing view. So nice to take some pics there.

Love the lines.

And one for road…

Family Friday #16

I can’t believe I didn’t post all week…what a lazy blogger I am! I have some stuff to post and I’ll be doing so really soon. I just came back from Game 2 of Lakers vs. Spurs and it was pretty fun. I ended up not selling my tix and taking Danny to the game. It was a blowout but still a good time with all the crazies.

We’ll be taking the little boys to either Wild Animal Park or Sea World this weekend. I’m leaning towards the Animal Park because I’ve never been there and I want Lucas to see the animals out in the open, but I hear that it’s hard to see the animals when you’re on the tour. Hopefully, it’ll still be fun. I fear that it’s gonna be a bit crowded, but we’re free on Sunday and that’ll be the only time we can go for a while so we’ll be doing the family thing.

Here’s some shots of the boys. This is what happens when you’re dad doesn’t like to fold the laundry. Don’t worry, this is the clean pile :)

And here’s Nathan on his Bumbo…we just got this play tray for it. It’s pretty cool, but it looks so funny because he looks so tiny for a high chair.

Family Friday #15

Right now, we’re getting ready for a very cool wedding tomorrow and the kids are knocked out. This whole week has been a bunch of family posts so I’ll post just a few pics of the little dudes. It’s gonna be blistering hot here so I’m trying to mentally prepare for the heat to minimize my hot weather grouchiness :) Have an great weekend!

Here’s my big boy with his sexy model stare! Raaawwwrrrr!

And here’s another happy pic of our happy little chubby boy.

Lisa and Tim’s Wedding

This past weekend, I had the honor of being a groomsman for my friend Tim. It was cool to be on the other side for a change and it was a blast. I didn’t even bring my big camera since I totally wanted to relax, but the point-and-shoot did an admirable job capturing the festivities. As usual, Lucas was dressed like a pimp and was a hit with the ladies. Nathan was a smiling ball of cuteness and was introduced to many, many, many girls! Lisa and Tim had an awesome 80s cover band that busted out some hits and took requests. Sweet Child O’ Mine was sweet! A ton of people stayed over at the hotel, so the party was pretty much going on all night. Too much fun!!! Check out some shots of us at the Red Cheese booth:

Here’s some slides of all my P/S shots…if you’re bored :) Oh yeah, the shots that look like they are coming from down low and everyone is looking down were taking by Lucas!
