Jaime and Brian’s Engagement Portraits

I love engagement sessions! I’m drooling just thinking about cool portraits. It’s just so much fun and also shows our clients that taking photos can be an enjoyable experience. We met up with Jaime and Brian in L.A. for a few clicks and it was a blast. It’s always so great when I have as much fun as they do! We found an ultra cool spot in Griffith Park and got some awesome nature shots. They had some pretty great stares as you will see below! Jaime and Brian are getting married this coming October at the Orange County Museum of Art…can’t wait!

Family Friday #20 (on Saturday)

We’re all gearing up for a few big family events in the coming weeks. Lucas is turning 3 next week and his party is gonna be at Dave & Buster’s on Sunday. It’s gonna be a crazy weekend with two weddings and a party! Then the following week we are taking our family summer vacation. We are going on a cruise to Alaska! It should be pretty insane with 14 of my family members going. We’ve never done the cruise thing, so we’re pretty excited. I’m sure I’ll have a pretty vivid recap of all the events…good and bad :)

Here a clip of the two boys for you. Lucas forcing Nathan to recreate the “Charlie Bit Me” clip from YouTube. Didn’t turn out like he wanted to :)

Destree + Bremer’s Wedding in San Diego

Here we go…I’ve got a ton of stuff to post and we’re gonna start with a SUPER fun wedding.

Destree and Bremer were married down in San Diego and it’s got to be one of the most event filled weddings ever! Not only because they had a ton of stuff going on, but also because I got a flat tire driving from the church to our portrait locations! Sheesh! I was rolling on a flat into the parking lot. Then we took the bridal party pics and right after we finished, I was changing my tire in my shirt and tie in the parking lot. Anyway, we made the best of it…no harm, no foul. The rest of the evening was truly memorable. Destree and Bremer had an awesome bridal party that was ready to rock the house. Their entrances were pretty unforgettable!!! I was laughing, cheering and clicking at the same time. Good thing all my shots were still in focus ;) Here’s a quick recap of a great day. Congrats to Destree and Bremer!

Destree’s parents live in this awesome ranch style home. Wood everywhere! It was cool.

Love this shot…the light was just perfect.

One more shot before we’re off to the church.

The ladies on the limo bus. Nice ink.

Always a great scene. Bride with parents.

One of my faves :)

This shot reminds me of our wedding. So it’s in here for sentimental reasons!

It’s fun time! The boys.

The ladies.

B+G Time!

My favorite spot of the day. An empty gas station!

You’ll have to guess what that background is…

One more B+G to go!

They are BIG Charger’s fans! This was for the envelopes.

Best. Entrances. Ever.

Love it.

Still hyped up!

The Father-Daughter dance was the best I’ve ever seen! Destree’s dad was workin’ it…I loved it!

She is 5 and the best dancer on the floor. Seriously.

Don’t you do it!

Bouquet time.

Destree did some filming during the garter.

And Bremer obliged with a few moves.

Their brothers and sisters did their version of the Jabbawockeez. It was pretty awesome.

The boys did their own rendition and it kept the crowd cheering.

Shanel + Jeremy’s Wedding at Park Prive

We had such a great time at Shanel and Jeremy’s wedding! They both looked great and were so awesome throughout the big day. We had 3 great locations to shoot at…Shanel’s awesome house on Lido Island, Our Lady of Mt. Carmel on Balboa Island and Park Prive in Costa Mesa. We also had the pleasure of working with a great team of vendors! That always makes the day soooooo much nicer for all! Thanks to Maren of Maren Parsons Events! A great coordinator AND also so cool to hang out with. Thanks to Kevin at Pacific Pictures and DJ Steve Sandoval for making it a team effort! The beautiful florals are from Petals by Xavi and the seriously yummy cake was from Cinderella Cakes.

OK, here we go. Let’s tell a wedding story in less than 30 photos!

Mom putting on the final buttons.

One more and we’re ready!

Down we go. Awesome stairs, BTW.

Dad’s first look.

A few shots in the house.

And a few outside. Their house is pretty spectacular! I loved everything about it.

Church time!

Ready to walk with Dad.

Great look from Jeremy.

Yay!

Got some shots by the beach area…had a big park there…pretty cool.

Here’s a fave.

Yay more B+G time!

Love, love, love this one.

And finally, one on the bench :)

Love the interior of Park Prive…it’s so my style.

I love smiles!

Caught you guys!

Shanel did a super cool suprise Hula dance for Jeremy!

1st Dance!

Love the reactions in the back.

Shanel’s mom got a shot in there.

Caught you guys…again! :)

A great grand exit! With props and all!

Let’s go!

The Wang Family

While in SF, we were able to take some photos of Tammy, Steve and the rest of the Wang Family. We don’t get to do too many family portraits so it was fun. It’s always neat to see how other families interact. They were great! Steve’s sister, Jenny, lives on this awesome ranch and we were able to take some shots with her horses. I think I would LOVE a place like that. Thank you guys for your wonderful hospitality!

My old school take on the formal portrait.
