Family Friday #19 (Sports Edition)

So, I went to the Game 4 of the NBA Finals last night at Staples Center. And Wow! What a depressing night. If you’re not in the know, the Lakers blew a 24 point lead and lost in what turned out to be the biggest comeback in Finals history. The whole game, I knew that the Celtics were gonna make a run, but once it got close I expected Kobe to do his usual thing and take over the game. Never happened. They pretty much locked him down. I’ve never attended such a sad event. Everyone was just in shock. I’m not sure who is too blame…it just seemed that the Celtics wanted it more. Anyway, call me naive, but I haven’t given up hope yet. Hope to be watching Game 7 on TV next week! Thanks to Tim T for taking me to the game. My voice is hoarse and I’m gonna drink some tea now.

Since it’s the sports edition, here are the boys doing their best sporty look! Have a great weekend!

Takako + Mike: Engagement Portraits

Palos Verdes is such a beautiful place. Hard to get to…but it’s just gorgeous there! I joined Takako and Mike for a few shots near the light house and it was just one of those SoCal days where the light just glows oh so radiantly. It was awesome to see them just have fun with it and we got some really great shots. Thanks guys for being such great models! Some samples:

Lisa + Bob’s Wedding in Palo Alto

It was a fun trip to Northern Cali and it was topped off with a great wedding in Palo Alto. Lisa and Bob were married at the amazingly beautiful First United Methodist Church and then had a great reception just down the street at the Garden Court Hotel. When I entered the church, I was taken aback a bit by the superb design…just stunning (check it out below)! The evening was topped off by a wonderful celebration by both of their families and friends, who really know how to have fun! Never seen so many parents get down on the dance floor! Check out some highlights of a great day!

Slipping on.

First time the girls saw Lisa in the dress. Cool moment.

Last minute prepping.

Coming down with Dad.

The beautiful church interior.

Some serious gazing going on.

The church had a cool little courtyard for some pics. This is one of my faves.

The Boys (and girl). Tabitha was the Best Woman!

The Gang.

And some B+G time.

My Favorite Fave.

They had some great looks goin on.

And a final shot before the reception.

Nothing is more fun than a photo booth!

Another courtyard at the hotel. It was a great area to hang out.

After a few “klink, klink, klinks” they had to do the deed.

I thought this was pretty cute.

Bob performed an awesome serenade. It was so funny and good. AND…he did it in Chinese, Korean and English! So great.

Lisa’s reaction :)

An awesome cake cutting laugh.

And…their first dance. A very slick, choreographed routine!

Family Friday #18

This is what I wake up to everyday. Two crazy dudes! Actually, I’m pretty glad that they get along (so far). Lucas loves making Nathan laugh and Nathan is so easy to please, laughing at everything, that it makes it fun for us all. I always ask Lucas “Who is Nathan’s favorite?” He responds with a finger pointing at his own chest and a “Meeeeeeeee!”. Happy Sat/Sun!!

Baby Adeline 9 Months

It was time for Adeline’s 9 months portrait session and WOW! She has grown so much since our last session and is now able to do so many things. Sitting up by herself, standing and check out those teeth! She is such a jolly baby and Tey had a blast making her laugh. She would only smile with me, but with Tey she was just cracking up. I guess I don’t have the magic touch ;) After seeing a bunch of Adeline’s outfits, Tey really, really, really, really, really wants a girl now. Check out a few of my faves.

Please, Daddy. Shhhhh!

It was a lovely day at the park.

Happy Mommy and happy Daddy.

The BIGGEST smile ever!

Awesome leggings!

One for the road…on the road.
