It was just another one of those amazing SoCal days where the skies opened up and gave us the usual spectacular weather. A perfect setting for Ashley and Paul’s wedding in Oceanside, CA. We had everything that you could ask for: laughter, tears, hugs, kisses, steak, seafood, flip-flops and surfers. Just the usual :) It was our pleasure to work again with Joan Burns of Sampson and Associates. She ran the show with her usual grace and style. Congrats to Ashley and Paul!
A pre-ceremony shot of Ashley. She looked great!

This little cutie was just waiting.

Just a bit of emotion.

From the beginning, I knew these guys were gonna be fun.

How’s that for a ceremony view!

I think “beaming” would be a good adjective :)

Love this shot of Paul’s dad.

One of my favorites.

The guys were pimped out in Olukai sandals. I’m a fan.

What a great post first-kiss hug!

Everyone going out for some portraits.

On the rocks.

Congrats Dude!

Found a red wall. We stayed there for a bit :)

Cheers.

Another favorite! Ashley and her dad.

Dancing with lights.

I missed a week and I’m a bit late this past week, but I wanted to share a few pics of the boys, so here it is!
Lucas has been a bit crazy lately, so we think he’s going through his “terrible threes” AND “big brother who needs more attention” phases at the same time. I think we need the Super Nanny, but I already know what she’s gonna say….”It’s the parents’ fault!”. Funny thing is he’s great at pre-school but out of control at home. But from speaking with other parents, that type of contrasting behavior is not too out of the norm. He’s still a sweetheart…just one that hits, screams, cries, throws, and bites.
On a lighter note, he’s got a new picture smile. Not sure where it came from but now when we take photos of him, he has this new “smirk” of a smile. But he’ll still do the “old” smile on command.

Nathan is now approaching 10 months! He’s still mostly such a happy baby and is still smiling and giggling. He’s got these gigantic buck teeth growing on the top front and his bites hurt quite a bit. He’s standing and cruising a lot now and we’re expecting him to walk in another month or so. His hair is still cherry brown and is still straight and thin. He loves strumming my guitar and he loves gnawing on paper. He still loves his big brother even though Lucas gives him the occasional shove and elbow. He can’t wait to return the favor.
Here he is in his usual big smile.

I love Crescent Bay Point Park in Laguna Beach. This place will always hold a special place with me since Tey and I went there a lot when we first dated. We still go there often and take the kiddos now. It’s just a breathtaking location! The best part is that not very many people know about it. And I didn’t even want to write about our little favorite spot, so don’t go there, ok?! :)
And now we have even more reason to remember this awesome location. With only very close friends and family in attendance for Rosie and David’s wedding, we felt so honored to witness the very touching ceremony out on the cliffs. And afterward, we had an amazing time with their bride and groom portraits at by the beach and cliffs. As you will see below, their chemistry is just amazing! Congrats to Rosie and David!
I took a few shots of Rosie before the ceremony.

One of my favorite places in the world.

Rosie with her dad.

One look at David and you can just feel IT.

I love OC. The weather was amazing.

Such a great expression from David!

The hugging action was in full force.

A few shots at the park before going to the beach.

We brought out our chair for some fun stuff.

Love this one.

Some road action!

They had great smiles…all day.

Another fav!

And another…

This rock wall was pretty sweet…along with the blue skies!

Of course my favorite fav is the dramatic one.

And here is Tey’s fav. Do I smell a canvas print?

Our first wedding at the OCMA was pretty fabulous! We’ve been excited to shoot here ever since we met with Jaime and Brian last year. And the place did not disappoint! Jaime and Brian (and the boys and girls) looked pretty fab in their black and white motif. And the interior of the museum was awesome! It was a perfect place for a fun/stylish event! Can you tell I liked it there?! :) Thanks to the OCMA staff and Fleur de Lis Events! Here are some highlights from the day:
Here comes the bride!

Love this limo shot. Makes me smile!

The interiors were just a dream for me. The lovely ladies.

Jamie looked fab!

The best first glance reaction!!

THe boys were quite dapper.

Talk about photos that make me smile!

We had some fun B+G.

Gotta love the color.

And some sexy time!

Love, love, love it.

Awesome guest sign-in LP.

Jamie was pretty giddy…so much fun to shoot!

Gimme some.

We did it!

Awesome details from the day. Loved the black/white/red.

Something about this pic. I dig it.

Jaime’s sis.

Party time inside.

Been loving the off-cam flash lately. Such yummy light.

The exterior was pretty nice as well. Outdoor dinners are pretty cool!
