Family Friday #33 (Thanksgiving Edition)

Happy Thanksgiving!!

Just wanted to wish everyone a great Thanksgiving holiday. Hopefully, most of you will have 4 days off and will be spending time with friends and family. And eat some really great food…but not too much ;) I’ll be trying to resist the usual over-eating that I usually do. I think we’ll take the kids to see Bolt, which I hear is really fun!

The other day, Nathan and I were hanging out in his room and I noticed the giant pile of hats in his closet. So I started putting a few on him and took some shots. After a while, I kept on going and going and got through soooooo many. So here is Natey in his hat collection. I put a poll below to see which one you all prefer. So, please click and vote for your favorite Natey Hat. Maybe, we can do a full session with the winning hat…so every vote counts!!

Mimi and Danny : Las Vegas Bellagio Wedding Photography

It was fun to shoot in Vegas! Not only was it great to get away for a few days, we had a blast with Mimi and Danny and their friends and family. We shot their preparations and tea ceremony at The Mirage, which offered some great scenery. Then we were off to the reception at Bellagio which was beautiful as always. They had an amazing ballroom full of awesome details and an incredible cake on top of an ice sculpture! Check it out below. Add to all this that I came up at the poker table and it was a AWESOME weekend!

Michelle + Miron’s Wedding in Newport Beach

Our first wedding on the water! We joined Michelle and Miron on the Crystal Yacht (from Electra Cruises) at the Harbor in Newport Beach. It’s one of those things that I didn’t even think about when we were getting married but it was pretty cool. You get that awesome ocean breeze and the SoCal weather obliged with its usual perfection. This gang really knew how to party, so the boat was seriously rocking till we docked. The best part was the bridal party dance…it was awesome! And what did the guests come to shore to find? IN-N-OUT, of course!! Congrats to Michelle and Miron!!

Family Friday #32

Well, I can’t believe I didn’t post this whole week. I must be getting forgetful in my ripe old age of 31! That sounds weird cause I still feel like I’m 21 (although my knees may disagree from time to time).

So, this past Thursday was my birthday and I had a couple of dinners to celebrate. Last Saturday, we had a guys only night out and it was a blast, as usual. I haven’t seen the fellas in a while, so it was awesome just to hang out. We went to dinner at BLT Steak on Sunset, which was pretty darn good. Then this past week, we went out to dinner with the family at Rockin Baja in Newport Beach. I love that place…been eating there for almost 12 years and it’s still a family favorite! I don’t feel any different, so it’s just another notch in the early-thirties belt.

Most of the goings-on around the house is planning for Nathan’s 1 year birthday party this coming December. It should be a fun little shindig that will take place at my mom’s house. We got the invites in this past week and were finally able to get them out…one thing down! About another thousand things to go.

Here’s a few pics of Natey Nate, that I just took this morning. Have a great weekend!

Family Friday #31

I’m not sure where October went, but it’s gone! What a roller coaster ride we’ve been on, but I’m just relieved to have a weekend off this week…yay! Looking forward to a weekend of fun, including a night out with the fellas for an early birthday celebration (I’ll be tacking on another number next week). Last weekend we were in Vegas for a wedding and I actually won the most I ever won on the poker table. So awesome! Tey’s ears were falling off as I forced her to listen to recaps of all my big hand :) On the way home, the clouds were in full effect and we just had to pull over for a few shots. Here’s one shot of me taken by the Mrs.

So lately, we’ve been forcing ourselves to shoot each other as we try different lighting here and there. We haven’t done this stuff in a while so we’re giving it a shot to do it more and more. The next shot was taken on the side of the road when we were going home. I found this empty construction site and thought it would do. I felt bad that the kids were crying in their car seat at the time, but, hey, whatcha gonna do!?

And now, the kiddos! Halloween flew by and Nathan enjoyed his first time in a costume. He actually had a few (cow, pumpkin, spider) but when we visited the pumpkin patch he was in his pumpkin suit. We had some fun in the dirt and took a ton of shots! Here is my favorite shot of the boys:

And one of the little veggie:

Happy November…my favorite month!!!
