Gina & Peter’s Engagement Portraits

I met up with Gina and Peter down in San Diego for a quick shoot around. We got some great scenery in and around Balboa Park, which was like a shooter’s paradise. Pretty much shoot anywhere and it’s money. They were great and it was great fun walking the grounds and they gave me a quickie tour of the the whole Balboa area. I definitely want to take the boys there so they can run around a bit. I’m eager to shoot their wedding coming up in La Jolla…should be fabulous!

Here are a few highlights:

Jennifer & Peter : San Diego Balboa Park Engagement Session

Nothing like a little combo of woods and beach for a session. I really love heading over to the woodsy parts of town to capture some atypical OC scenery. Many people don’t realize that we have some amazing nature parks around here, so it’s great when I get to visit and show off the natural side of Orange County. Spent the afternoon with Jennifer, Peter and their dog, Nahni. She was great in front of the camera and got some great shots of her. Jennifer and Peter weren’t too bad, either :) Check it out!

Lizzy & Mark : Long Beach, The Ebell Club Wedding Photography

I just knew this was gonna be a great one! That’s because Lizzy and Mark are so fun loving and stylish that it just couldn’t be any other way. From the the matching Chuck Taylors, the Rock Band set up in the cocktail room to their awesome binary cake! And having it all at the very cool Ebell Club in Long Beach just added to the chic stylings of their wedding. It was just great fun all through the day and night. Did I mention, they are great jumpers?! It was awesome! Check out some of the highlights below:

Lisa + Greg : Palos Verdes Engagement Session

When I found out that Greg was getting married, I was so excited! Greg was my big-bro in college and has been a great friend for so long, that it just makes me smile knowing he’s going to take that next step with Lisa. They are just so great together. We took these in and around the Palos Verdes area, including the stables where we met up with Lisa’s beautiful horse, Roxy. They are also huge Lakers fans, so we had to pull out the jerseys for a few! Check them out:

Family Friday #38

It’s time for a Nathan update. He’s now 16 months! As expected, he still doesn’t wanna talk just like his older brother who didn’t speak until he was 2.5! But, of course, he already knows what he wants and tries to communicate in his own little way. A bit frustrating at times, but we manage to get by. We need some of that baby sign language! Other than that, he is growing to be an active little boy. Already, he’s quite the runner even though his balance is still not there for the most part. So, we still witness the occasional face plant here and there. And we can’t leave any stools or ladders around…it’s an automatic climbing session for him.

It’s still a love/hate relationship with his big brother. Love for the most part, but the cries come out once in a while when they don’t want to share…what’s new!? He really loves laughing with Lucas and we catch them laughing at each other for no reason at all. It’s cute.

Here are some recent ones our little big boy when he visited me at the office yesterday:
