Quick Bio
I was born in the Philippines. I moved to California when I was 4 years old with my Mom and brother. Growing up in Orange County, I lived a pretty simple life. I married my college sweetheart. We have 3 beautiful kids. I began to work for myself after about a decade of working for some pretty cool companies. I learn almost everything on my own (including photography). I love design, music, sports, fitness, travel.
As far as my photography is concerned, my goal is to create art. Whether it’s capturing unforgettable moments at weddings or creating beautiful portraits, I always want to create images in an interesting and artful manner.
Recognition
Jan has been awarded Junebug Weddings “Best of…” Photo award and has received The Knot. He has been a speaker at the Foundation Conference and has also given a talk at WPPI Expo floor in Las Vegas. He has also been a mentor at the Foundation Workshop in Texas. A photography workshop that teaches wedding photographers to shoot in a documentary style.

| Favorite childhood memory? | Getting fatter with every yummy bowl of ice cream I ate. I was pretty chubby in my pre-teen days. |
| What is your pet peeve? | Ignorance and bad drivers. |
| What magazines do you like to read/browse through? | Architectural Digest, Dwell, Mens Fitness, ESPN, Esquire and other fashion mags. |
| Next place you want to vacation? | Machu Picchu in Peru or Maldives |
| What sound drives you crazy? | Car horns |
| When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? | An oceanographer. I even remember my 5th grade project on whales. Now, open water scares me. Go figure. But I do love nature. |

| If you could play any instrument what would it be? | I am a beginner Guitar player but would also like to play Piano. |
| What store would you shop at with an unlimited shopping spree? | Room and Board. Love their furniture. I’ll deck out my house and office. |

| What is your favorite daily ritual? | Gym in the morning and bedtime with the kids. |
| What is one skill that you wish you had? | Sing like Stevie Wonder. Then I would kill at Karaoke bars :) |
