Here’s a preview from Elaine and James Downtown Los Angeles engagement session.

I kinda love shooting in the city. It’s probably because I live so far away from it that I get excited every time I go there. I had a great time walking around in Downtown Los Angeles with Natasha and Fred. They are so much fun to be with that we were able to get so many cool shots. They were ready to have fun and I just loved their willingness to just goof around…a great thing for photos! I was so glad that the rain stayed away for the most part and the blue skies even made an appearance at the end of the session. I’m super excited for their wedding this year at The London West Hollywood…that place is so cool. It’s gonna be a great one!

Katrine and Duc live just a few blocks away from the Walt Disney Concert Hall and so it was just the right spot for their photos. We were blessed with such a glorious day. The light was awesome and we had a lot of fun. Just another example of why I really love engagement sessions. Here are a few highlights from their session:

It’s always a treat for me to go up to Northern California to shoot. I just love the change of scenery and the different vibe up there. I met up with Christine and Shawn for their session in Saratoga, CA. It was my first time at the Hakone Gardens and found it to be a beautiful place for photos. Great scenery along with really cool structures that we were able to use for photos, too. It was supposed to rain, but we were pretty lucky and it started to come down right when we finished shooting! Thanks to my friend Karen for coming to help during the shoot! Gina and Albert have an awesome sense of style! They came dressed to impress for their engagement session and we had a blast shooting. It was great to get a mixture of backgrounds from a more urban look to some outdoorsy fun. I really can’t wait for their wedding coming up real soon in October. It’s gonna be a fabulous event, for sure! Here are some highlights from our day:

Thanks to Kristine and Morgan for introducing us to Downtown Claremont! I never knew Claremont was so cool, but it’s a pretty awesome area. There are some really interesting places and we had some great skies during our session. It was an awesome time and I cannot wait to do it all over again with them during their wedding in Hawaii next month! That will be one to remember!

We had an amazing shoot with Sanaz and Ali. They came dressed to kill and they really rocked us with their great style and looks. I was pretty excited when I started chatting with Megan and Ray about what they wanted to do for their engagement session. One of their first suggestions was having me photograph them eating at their favorite Pho restaurant. I was thinking “Heck Yeah!” I really love it when portrait sessions have that personal touch. Our session became a little mini-tour of San Francisco starting at their home and going to a few spots that were special to them. Being able to document Megan and Ray going to their favorite places gave me a little more insight on the personalities of this amazing couple. They recently returned from a 14 month adventure around the world and it ended with a bang! You have to check out this amazing video that Ray produced: HERE. I can’t wait for their wedding in Lake Tahoe later this summer! Here are a few from our session:
