I just loved photographing Grace and Richard’s wedding at the Newport Beach Marriott. I had such a great time with everyone there and we had some really awesome winter light to work with. I love thinking of new places to shoot at places that we are pretty familiar with. It’s such a cool challenge and I love it whenever we get such different results when we photograph at the same place. Grace and Richard were so awesome. They had a beautiful evening ceremony in the atrium, which was a first for me. The lighting was both challenging and beautiful. They had some awesome decor in their reception ballroom and it was nice and dramatic. I loved the lighting they had in the room…soo cool. Enjoy!
The ladies getting ready in their room. The dress was just in the right spot.
I love this image of the girls watching Grace get ready. They were all such sweethearts.
A little bit of portrait time in the hotel room.
We got outside and the light was so great.
The guys were learning how to fold a handkerchief…so fun!
First glance…love this profile angle.
This angle was good, too!
I love this great detail close-up detail.
We went inside for a few night time style portraits and Grace was looking so beautiful!
California in the winter…so great.
The atrium was ready to go for the ceremony.
The dramatic lighting was so cool to capture. This was Grace with her dad. One of my favs.
The dark lighting continued to create some great moody scenes.
I love recessional photos…so happy!
The ballroom was set up so beautifully. Great job by the Marriott staff, Invisible Touch and Cat Tuong Flowers & Gifts.
They performed a beautifully choreographed first dance.
The light in the ballroom was so much fun to use.
Richard serenaded Grace during the reception and it was Awesome!! My favorite moment of the day. Their friends/family were going nuts…it was great.
Richard and his mom. So sweet.

More fun time with light. These little girls were playing with the candles…they were so cute.
They. Were. Fun!
Richard’s sister Christine is tough. HAHA. She’s so awesome. This photo makes me smile.
I love this photo of Grace and Richard dancing. They are so great together.
We got a few night time portraits in and it was great. I love the light in this image.
One more to end the night!
