Shule and Steven : Orange County Irvine Regional Park Engagement Session

It’s always very exciting when we meet clients for the first time at their engagement session! They booked without meeting us and it was just great to finally meet Shule and Steven. They were excited for their session and we had a great time in the woods. They are such an ultra sweet people and we cannot wait for their wedding coming up so fast! Some highlights:

Family Friday #44

It’s been a super fun week with the boys! We’ve been playing outside more and more since the sun has been setting super late. I love summer! There is a park near our house and we try to get there as much as possible. It’s about 3/4 of a mile walk, so it’s about that distance that we always debate on walk vs. drive. I know…we’re lazy. But walking with the little dudes gets a bit crazy, so we always second guess the walking. This time, after 2 seconds of thinking, we decided to drive :)

For his birthday, we got Lucas some in-line skates. I know…I heard it a million times. What’s the hardest thing about rollerblading? But I’ve been skating since I was little and still do so quite often, especially with our dog, Koda. So when Lucas watches me, he keeps on asking if he could do it. So, when his shoe size hit the minimum size for skates, we pulled the trigger. He had his first try last night and wow! I thought teaching Tey how to snowboard was tough! This is gonna take a while and I just don’t want him to be discouraged. He came in the house all sad because he couldn’t stand up on his own. I told him, “When daddy was small like you, it took me a long time to learn. I practiced everyday.” But, of course, I started when I was about 13. hahaha! I’m pretty sure he’ll pick it up…he’s daring like that. Skating videos to come!

Here’s a clip of us at the park! Happy Friday all!!!

Gina and Peter : La Jolla Mary Star of the Sea, Darlington House Wedding Photography

Happy July 4th to all!! Hope everyone has an amazing and safe weekend!

I wanted to share a wonderful wedding that took place in La Jolla, CA. Gina and Peter were married at Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church, a beautiful little chapel down in La Jolla. And immediatly after, their reception was at the Darlington House right near the beach. This was such a beautiful little venue. One of those hidden gems that I’m sure many couples feel fortunate to stumble upon. So many cool spots for portraits! Gina and Peter had beautiful intimate wedding with mostly close family and friends. I love weddings where I get to meet so many of the guests. Makes it so much more enjoyable! Congrats to Gina and Peter!!

Family Friday #43 : Happy Birthday Lucas!

Happy Birthday to my big boy Lucas! Today, he turns 4 years old and he knows it, too! He’s been reminding us that his birthday was coming up for the past few months :) It really does feel like yesterday when he wasn’t able to talk and was waddling around in his diapers. Now, he talks sooooooo much and wants to do everything by himself. And, I’m pretty sure he’s better on the computer than many of us! Also, he’s been a great big brother to Nathan and I love seeing them enjoy each other. It gets pretty crazy between them at times, but Nathan adores him and copies everything he does, both good and bad!

We are having a birthday bash for him tomorrow and it should be a fun time at the park. He had his party at pre-school yesterday and he came dressed to impress thanks to Grandma! Happy Birthday Lucas! and Happy 4th of July to everyone. Have a great and safe weekend!

Jordi and Sean : Chapman University Engagement Session

Jordi and Sean were ready to go for their engagement portraits! They were up for anything and we got some great stuff in some cool places. I’ve always wanted to shoot at a library and I knew it would be pretty cool in there! Their wedding is just around the corner in January and it should be a great one. Check out some highlights!
