Michael and I go waaaay back. We were golf buddies on our high school golf team and it’s great to see him so happy. He found his special lady and he and Rhiannon are getting married this Summer. I’m sad that I won’t be able to shoot it, but they will be in good hands with the talented Amanda Doublin. We had a blast shooting around Irvine Regional Park and it was great to see these two together. Here are some highlights from our shoot:

Anthi and Long had their ceremony at the Earl Burns Miller Japanese Garden in Long Beach. Their day included a tea ceremony for their families and they looked great in their traditional Vietnamese attire. It was great to see so many familiar faces and we had a blast covering all the different activities going on all day. Their reception was held at the Lincoln Plaza Hotel in Monterey Park. Congrats to Anthi and Long! Here are a few highlights:

The Viceroy was the perfect location for Kelly and Angelo’s engagement! It totally fit their style and we had an amazing time shooting with them and their little buddy, Yoshi. Not only did they look hot, but It was awesome to see them together…their chemistry was just great! We also spent the afternoon by the beach. They love their football! So it was fun incorporating that into the shoot :) Here are a few favorites from the day:

San Francisco has been kind to us and we love it whenever we get a chance to shoot up there. It was such a gorgeous day for Jennifer and David’s wedding! I can say that most of the time in SoCal, but SF is a bit unpredictable. We were treated to some great skies and weather…it was awesome. Jennifer and David were married at the Presidio Chapel of Our Lady and had their reception at the The Cliff House. It was great to see some familiar faces and meet some great new people!! We had a blast and our love affair with SF continues :) Here are a few highlights:

I’m embarrassed to say how long it’s been since my last Family Friday post. Please don’t even do a search. It seems like forever! But it’s here now, so I am at peace :)
Lately, we’ve been noticing the increased struggle in juggling time between family and work. It feels pretty overwhelming at times because I feel that there is so much more that we could be doing to improve our photography and our business. But, of course, we are not the only ones who feel this way. I’m sure every small business owner goes through this struggle. But, I do feel bad when we have to leave the kids for extended periods of time. Hopefully, this year, we can find a better balance when dealing with it all especially as the boys are getting older. Looking forward to our upcoming family trip to Hawaii!!
Lucas is now 3 months away from his 5th birthday. Recently, we found out that he had to get eyeglasses. Not a gigantic surprise, since our family has a history of bad eyes, but I didn’t expect it to come this early. It kinda bummed me out. He’s still getting used to wearing it all the time, but, I think he’s doing well under the circumstances. Here he is w/ his new specs:
Nathan is now 2.5 years old and is entering his first week of early pre-school. He’s so excited because I think he’s tired of spending all day with us. Well, I think we are more excited, but you get what I mean :) He will be going to the same school as his big brother for the next few months before Lucas goes off to Kindergarten in the fall. Lucas is super excited to show off his little brother to all his classmates! Here is Nathan during a recent day trip to the zoo w/ Mommy:
And last but not least, I’m all about the iPad these days. I picked one up last week and here is my quick review: You don’t NEED it, but if you get it, you will LOVE it :)
But even more important, the boys get a kick out of playing with it. Enjoy this quick clip. Happy Weekend to all!
