Another first for me. First time shooting at the Long Beach Aquarium. Della and Richard wanted to shoot their engagement session there and I was super excited! I knew there would be cool shots to find everywhere. And there was. I also got to explore some pretty amazing parts of Long Beach Harbor. It really is a great place to shoot. It was a terrific session and they did such a fantastic job. Their wedding is coming up this January and it should be a blast. Here are a few highlights:

Diane and Frank’s wedding took place at the Huntington Beach Hyatt and it was a gorgeous day by the beach. They had such a wonderful event with great personalities, great details and great vendors! All combined made it such a treat for us to be there. They also had the yummiest late night snack for everyone…fries and chicken nuggets! Yum :) Thanks to Eva and her crew at Red Velvet Occasions. Loved working with them…so on the ball, professional and sooo nice. Can’t wait to work with them again. Also, thanks to the crew at the Hyatt Regency, who is always fantastic.

So many things to say and show about Mona and Joe’s wedding…where to begin. From the very first time I met with Mona and Joe and they informed be about what they had planned for their ceremony, I’ve been excited. It was gonna be a “hybrid” wedding in the truest sense. They had many Indian wedding traditions mixed in with our more familiar western practices. Their big day was set at the Newport Beach Marriott, and it was just a beautiful event to witness. Mona and Joe are just amazingly fun people to be around and they are totally in love. That made their night filled with so much emotions, tears were flowing and belly laughs were heard. Such a great night! Thanks to Candace and her crew at the Marriott who always makes the day great for all!

This was our last Northern California wedding of the year. And it was another great one! Tina and Joe were married in Palo Alto and had their reception at the Sofitel San Francisco Bay in Redwood City. Tina and Joe did a wonderful job planning everything. Without a planner/coordinator, Joe created a schedule that was amazingly precise and everything went off without a hitch. We took some portraits in and around the Stanford campus and got some great light around the quad. Really cool spots there…pretty much anywhere you turn. I knew a handful of guests there and it was great to catch up with some old friends. It was so much fun! Congrats to Tina and Joe, it was a beautiful day!!!

Oops! I guess it’s been a while since the last Family Friday post. Tey’s been bringing the heat on me…hahaha! But since it’s been a while, I figure I can put up a slideshow of our latest trip. I haven’t done that in a while, so that should please a certain someone :) A few weeks back, we went to Sequoia National Park to see some big ‘ol trees.
